On-Call Advocate

Become an Advocate

(paid position)

·  Offer Immediate Support: Provide comfort and information to survivors at medical facilities during evidence collection.

​

·  Guide and Inform: Help survivors understand their options regarding medical exams, police procedures, the legal process, and available counseling.

​

·  Navigate the System: Accompany survivors through forensic evidence collection, law enforcement interviews, and court appearances.

​

·  Gather Data: Collect statistical information to help us improve our services.

Advocate Requirements

  • Must complete application (online or print & mail)

  • Must have in-person interview

  • Must be able to hear clearly and speak articulately

  • Must pass criminal background check and be 18 years of age or older

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Must have reliable, working cell-phone

  • Complete 40 hr training
